MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

Now, your club membership can take you to other spectacular and coveted destination

Exchanges of club lodging privileges between Members of different clubs are purely voluntary.
The following describes the exchange procedure.

  1. You have been confirmed for vacation dates at your "Home Club."
  2. You use the Request To Participate form to Request that Destination Exchange International (DEI) arrange a change of one or more of your Confirmed vacations with a member of a specified club or clubs ("Exchange Club") or a type of club (beach, ski, golf, etc.). In general, exchanges will be for the same number of days (not necessarily the same dates) and between owners of the same membership category (one-, two-, three- or four- bedroom residences). However, this is not a requirement for the request. Before making your request, please thoroughly review the Membership Agreement.
  3. DEI matches yours exchange request with an existing exchange request from an Exchange Club member. If there is no existing match for your request, DEI will notify all Exchange Club members to make them aware of the exchange possibility in an attempt to elicit an agreement to exchange. If DEI is unable to satisfy the request at the specified Exchange Club (s), it will search for alternative exchange locations likely to satisfy you. When an Exchange Club member agrees to exchange a Planned Vacation with you, each member signs the Exchange Contract, each Club involved is notified, and the exchange is confirmed.

Flexibility and timing are important factors in consummating an exchange. The more flexible you are regarding your desired Exchange Club and the dates of your exchange vacation, the higher the probability of an exchange conformation.

Also, the longer the lead-time between your Request to Exchange submittal and the earliest of the requested or offered dates, the more likely you are to be satisfied.

Because exchanges are purely voluntary, there is no guarantee that all specific exchange requests can be fulfilled.

Club members pay a fee for the exchange service only if the exchange is confirmed.
