As often as they wish, subject to the Clubs reservation policies. Members have the flexibility of reserving Club vacations well in advance, and also of coming on a short-notice, space-available vacations. There is no limit to the amount of use. If some members use the Club less, other members can use it more. Members pay only housekeeping fees anytime they vacation at their club. Also, members can reserve more than one villa for the same time period at no additional cost.
HOW IS OWNERSHIP OF A CLUB MEMBERSHIP EVIDENCED?
A law passed in 1994 permits foreign nationals to acquire Mexican coastal property through a bank trust, which is a legal substitute for fee simple ownership. As a beneficiary of the trust, you have the right to use, sell, transfer or will your ownership in perpetuity through the 50-year renewable trust. Thousands of Americans, Canadians and other nationalities have invested many millions of dollars in Mexican beach properties.
IS THE CLUB QUINTA REAL A TYPICAL TIMESHARE DEVELOPMENT?No, Timeshare is typically the ownership of a specific week and lodging is limited to a specific unit. Club Quinta Real members have access to all Club villas of their membership type with the right to use anytime, subject to Club reservation policies. Club Quinta Real membership is very similar to membership in a prestigious equity golf country club, except members reserve lodging rather than tee times.
WHY WAS THE RESORT RESIDENCE CLUB CONCEPT CREATED?The same team that created the first resort residence club in the United States (the Deer Valley Club) created Club Quinta Real ownership. The concept was developed to: provide more convenience, services and amenities than are provided by an equally luxurious condominium development; provide members with as much vacation use as a typical vacation homeowner uses his or her vacation home in the same location; and match the real estate ownership price with this use.
ARE THERE OTHER SIMILAR CLUBS?Yes. Similar clubs are successfully operating in Deer Valley, Utah, and Aspen, Vail, Telluride and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Additionally, a luxurious residence club recently opened in Manhattan, next to Lincoln Center.
CAN A CLUB QUINTA REAL MEMBERSHIP BE RESOLD?Yes. Like any other form of Mexican real estate, the members real estate interest can be sold or transferred by the member, subject to the Club bylaws
